Judges for the Children's Business Fair are local business leaders and/or entrepreneurs who are interested in both the innovation of young entrepreneurs and the economic future of Nodaway County. Three judges meet with each young business owner separately and use a set of judging criteria to come up with a numeric total used to determine winners in each age group. Judges also provide verbal feedback and written comments on the judging sheet to help kids improve their businesses. If you are interested in being a judge for CBF, please contact Elizabeth Argo at youthcoordinator@maryvillepubliclibrary.org

Young entrepreneurs have said that the business review/feedback session is one of the most valuable steps in the CBF journey. Mentors are local business leaders who have one week to review business plans for a small number of children. They then provide feedback and discussion during the review session which usually lasts around an hour. Business leaders always comment about the extraordinary ideas that come from kids!

Please call or email Elizabeth Argo at Maryville Public Library to volunteer.
